 Our dog, Flyer, is 13 years old. She has always been athletic and full of spirit. However, in recent years she has developed arthritis in her rear joints and we could start to see the stiffness and discomfort in her movement. I started to describe her bad legs, while walking, as looking like two chop sticks because Flyer held them so stiff and straight. She also began to favour one back leg when jumping onto the sofa, holding that foot up and landing on the other foot by itself. Since receiving a weekly massage from Christie, Flyer's legs have loosened up quite noticeably.
The bounce in her step has returned and she is more interested in running, jumping and playing again. She is also landing squarely on both back feet when jumping up onto the sofa. Flyer seems generally more comfortable and in high spirits. She's always happy to see Christie coming! |

 Flowerpot is a 12year old female Italian Greyhound, who has lead a very active life traveling all over Canada and acquiring a couple of coursing/racing injuries in her younger days. As a retired dog, the old injuries were adversely affecting her mobility. She was put on a dietary supplement, new exercise program and I was advised by the veterinarian to investigate massage options.
The result: after 4 months of regular massage visits, Flowerpot is more mobile and active with greater range of motion in her past injured legs. She sits, walks, trots and lying down and getting up is much easier. An added bonus…she likes Christie very much.
Christie is exceptional at getting to know her canine client while working as a team with me, as well as one-on-one, to achieve a noticeable improvement.
She provides feedback after each session, which helps when planning any changes required for weekly exercise, in addition to providing valuable information when adjusting for the training schedules to maximize performance and general canine happiness!
I look forward to having her assist with other Italian greyhounds used for competitive obedience trialing, as well as the odd foster rescue. |

  I've been very happy with the services provided by Pawsitive Healing. Apart from providing pet massage, Christie has looked after my cat, Ambrose, and my 15-year-old dog, Mac, who has special needs and both bonded with her very quickly. She obviously loves animals and is very conscientious and reliable.

 Kodiak
Christie is professional and compassionate. She has gone above and beyond the call of duty to help Kodiak get to the vet when he was sick and I was out of town. My dog has spinal problems, requiring special patience and handling and Christie handles and cares for him wonderfully. |

 Bella
We are so grateful to have found Christie, and Bella, our lovely 15 year old Goldie, is the most grateful of all.
Before Christie came into our lives, we truly believed Bella's days of playing and walking the forest trails were over. To our great joy, after just three half-hour massage sessions we started seeing a steady week-by-week improvement in Bella's comfort and mobility. By the fifth session Bella was once again tossing her toys in the air, dancing around the kitchen, running to the door barking up a storm with her younger brother, and best of all…walking the forest trails with her pack of friends.

Honey, Owl and Pansy
"I can highly recommend Pawsitive Healing Pet therapy and Christie as pet sitters. Christie is bonded, insured, and competent in dealing with security systems, so I have had no concerns from that perspective. More importantly, she first met with me and my cats, and filled out an extensive background worksheet on all the cats' needs and personalities. No detail was overlooked, and crucial issues such as medications were not a problem in any way. Her experience showed in her approach to my pets, as she waited for each one to be comfortable and come to check her out when they were ready to meet her. Christie has been very flexible to work with, as she accommodates my erratic schedule with ease. She handles additional requests such as filling the birdfeeder or watering garden or house plants or bringing in newspapers and mail without any problem. It's so helpful not to have to worry about bringing someone else in to deal with these tasks.
Most of all, when I come home, the cats are happy, the litter box is clean, the bowls are full, the toys have been played with, and, surest sign of all (as all fellow cat parents know) there are no little "presents" awaiting my attention to show me how angry they are at me for daring to go away!!!" |

 Finnegan
"I interviewed a couple of dog walkers and Pawsitive Healing Pet Therapy and Christie were my number one choice. Finnegan, my 10 week old puppy, took to Christie right away. He is happy to see her and I know he is well taken care of and loved while I am at work. Dooley and Roxie
"The dogs were so excited to see you after the first treatment, they went right to the mat where they knew your healing hands would work their magic. Dooley was tender from his racing injury, but it helped loosen him up.
 Roxie will always have stiff knees, but your massaging, that she so loved, seemed to lighten her step. As the dogs age any stimulation is always good. " |
